We hope that the participants will acquire an understanding of the complex nature of the interactions and relationships between rangeland resources and other resources and uses. Who Can Attend?All youth between ages 13 and 18 are eligible to attend. Permission of a parent/guardian is required as noted on the application form. The camp has room for 35 participants on a first-come basis, so please send in your application early.  Camp ActivitiesCampers will learn about range principles, including range plants, soils and ecological sites, through field activities.   Campers will:•  Learn how to evaluate range properly•  Learn about range and livestock interactions•  Be taught about the historical uses of range•  Take part in a range judging contest and exam in which they will compete for a belt buckle and plaque•  Play range gamesThe CostThe registration fee is $140 to be paid by the applicant or sponsor. Many Soil Conservation Districts (SCD), 4-H clubs and grazing associations have sponsored many campers. Campers will receive a detailed map and signs will be posted for those unfamiliar with the area. Campers must arrange all transportation to and from the camp.
